Fauzi is EXIM Bank managing director, CEO

PETALING JAYA: A change in leadership is underway at Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd (EXIM Bank), with Mohd Fauzi Rahmat appointed managing director/chief executive officer effective Tuesday

Fauzi took over from Kamal Mohd Ali, who helmed EXIM Bank from April 2006 until his contract ended recently.

Fauzi has more than 18 years experience in the banking and finance industry.

It is hoped that with his extensive experience, he will set a faster pace for EXIM to play its mandated role effectively in the international arena.

Prior to joining EXIM Bank, he was Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd chief operating officer. Before that, he was head of risk management division at Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd.

Fauzi also worked in various capacities at Citibank for 15 years before joining Bank Islam.
