Seeing as the cost of living has drastically risen due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PKAYABN, which depends solely on donations from companies and NGOs for its livelihood, has been facing an uphill battle to make ends meet. In fact, most of the time, the donations received was not sufficient to cover its expenses.
Being community responsive and constantly looking out to make a sustainable difference, we feel it necessary to offer our help and support; be it small or big, to those less fortunate in our community. These orphans also deserve to enjoy the festive cheer as they prepare for the impending fasting month and Raya celebration.
Therefore, the Bank contributed cash and in kind to the home with items such as groceries, essentials and study tables to help assist with the needs of the orphans, as well as packed food for their Iftar.
