EXIM BANK’S CHAIRMAN TO RECEIVE CAMBODIA’S HIGHEST MEDAL OF HONOUR ON FRIDAY.

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Hun Sen, is to present EXIM Bank’s Chairman, Datuk Mohd Hashim Hassan with Cambodia’s medal of Honour during the opening ceremony of Alserkal Grand Mosque in Phnom Penh on Friday, 27 March 2015.

The Munisaraphoin Medal is Cambodia’s highest medal of honour and will be presented in consideration of EXIM Bank’s role in Cambodia in promoting business relationship between Malaysia and Cambodia.

“Receiving the Munisaraphoin Medal of honour is a tremendous honour for me. It is EXIM Bank’s mission of improving cross-border investment between Malaysia and Cambodia that resulted in this prestigious honour”, said Hashim.

The trade between the two countries was valued at USD420 million in 2013 and Malaysia has exported beverages, transportation equipment, processed food, chemical products and machinery. Malaysia is the third largest investor in Cambodia with a total investment of approximately USD2.62 billion in banking, tourism, information technology and finance sectors. To-date, cross-border investment created by EXIM Bank has reached almost USD100 million covering government and private sector investment.
