KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Bernama) — The Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank) brought joy to over 45 children and caregivers of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Asnaf Al Barakh at its Iftar Ramadan breaking of the fast event held at the bank’s premises here today.

Earlier, volunteers from the bank took the children and caregivers to shop for Raya clothes and goodies.

The bank also gifted RM10,000 to the home.

EXIM Bank president and chief executive offi cer Arshad Ismail in his speech said this effort showed that the relationship between the bank and the community is not necessarily limited to financial and business programmes alone.

He said the iftar celebration was also the bank’s way of commemorating its staff and management and appreciating all that they have done for the year.

Besides this programme, EXIM Bank also donated to the cancer foundation and Pusat Jagaan Al Fikrah as its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for the month of Ramadan. — Bernama
